Joe Richmond Co-Founder & Director of Community Outreach Relations

Joe has been in love with baskteball from the time he could walk, it was just something his older brother introduced to him and he was hooked from then on. During his teenage years you could find Joe playing ball at local playgrounds and rec centers, he would be given the name "Showboat" as a ball-player, due to the way that he played with such flash on the court. He later followed his brother "Big Mike" as he got signed to play ball in Sweden, and as a result Joe played and coached in Sweden and then came home to start his own basketball company (B-Ball Inc.), which would later become Richmond Group International 'aka' RGI!

Joe was Head Basketball Coach at Delaware Valley Charter High School and today is Proud to be a part of The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Touring Team. Joe is currently starting his 5th touring season with The Globetrotters and acknowledges that touring with the Globetrotters is truly the Highlight of his Basketball Career. Joe says that although he has been to all 50 states and to over 16 countries-that he and every tour the Team looks forward to putting smiles on people's faces.
