Joe had a Vision 20 years ago, about bringing Basketball related events to his community. He wanted to create an Entity that would allow him to reach the community, empower individuals and build relationships through the sport of basketball! Thus was born Richmond Group Int'l-(RGI). Along with his brother Mike Richmond-known throughout the basketball community as "Big Mike"  & Tim Hagins their childhood friend they would begin to conduct camps and clinics where not only men, but women basketball players could begin to live their dreams. There *Overseas Showcase Camps* & *Overseas Touring Basketbal Teams*, gave these individuals a platform to showcase their talent to Coaches & Scouts in countries such as (Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Portugal), and many more around the World. 

 

RGI, would later make history by becoming owners of the Delaware Destroyers of the then *National Rookie League*-(NRL), when that league disbanded they soon was sought out by other Minor League Basketball Organizations, which led to the Destroyers moving on to play in the Eastern Basketball League. This move was grounbreaking within itself, because it was the only league in the U.S. period; that mandated that each team have a men & women team.  RGI, was a very successful vehicle in terms of groundbreaking basketball innovations on a Minor League Level, they allowed individuals to pursue their dreams who if not for RGI might have not ever had such an opportunity. RGI's battle-cry was "How Bad You Want It" and we can say without hesitation that during that era of RGI, us as Owners, the Players & Coaches wanted it Real Bad.

 

The alumni of RGI are individuals that we will always be Happy for as well as Thankful for, and many of them went on to have careers in basketball on many levels (ie, player, coach or management)-to them all we say Thank You!

 

RGI had accomplished what it set out to do, but something was missing. We had all these vehicles, but we needed somewhere to drive them all and thus was born "I Am Focused" Inc. a non-profit organization that would allow for RGI to use its players, and coaches to reach out to the community and do some charitable good, and the rest as they say is History!
